This past weekend I got the rabbit's new home completed. I had been meaning for a while to get them a nice new and final home built. Previously their cages had been covered by tarps, and while it worked well to keep them dry and keep the wind at bay, it wasn't totally convenient and the tarps were already showing serious wear after just a year. So for several months I had been planning to build a covered lean-to on the side of the house for them. Only problem was I first needed to clear a wall of 15 ft. tall viburnum shrubs and then fence in the whole area before I could actually build the structure. This weekend I finally finished the last piece of this puzzle.
The side area where I built Bunnyland looked like this at the start of the day:

By the time the day was over Bunnyland was more or less complete and looked like this:

I was able to reuse some pan roofing panels that we had from a collapsed porch roof and that worked out nicely. Overall I am very pleased with how the whole thing turned out. I will have some tweaking to do in the coming weeks but for now it is a great improvement over the previous setup. Now if I could just get the automatic watering setup going...
Bunny Bonus Time. Check out this picture of the babies and how big they are now.
